New MailStore Service Provider Edition Available

Email archiving for service providers now even easier and faster

Viersen, Germany, 1 July 2014.  MailStore Software GmbH, the German specialist for email archiving that meets all legal requirements, released the latest version of the MailStore Service Provider Edition (SPE) today, together with MailStore Server 9, the email archiving solution for businesses.

The latest version offers both service providers and end customers many new features and improvements. These allow service providers to offer email archiving as a managed service in an even more efficient way and maximize the added value for their customers.

‘‘The use of cloud services and especially the use of email archiving as a managed service are increasingly gaining acceptance among companies. With the MailStore  Service Provider Edition, we enable providers to expand their service portfolio to their own infrastructure and under their own control. These providers generally work at the regional level and enjoy a relationship of trust with their customers that has been built over years, which is an important factor when dealing with email archiving. We wanted to emphasize how important the business sector is to MailStore with the new version, which we are releasing a few months after the market aunch of MailStore SPE in February,’’ explains Tim Berger, founder and CEO of MailStore.

The improvements include a significant reduction in the time required to archive mailboxes. In addition, an intelligent caching system and a new store hinting algorithm were implemented, reducing the time required for synchronizing emails in the mailbox with the emails already in the archive for Exchange EWS and IMAP to a minimum. At the same time, the new archiving methods allow the CPU resources of modern systems to be used more efficiently and significantly reduce network traffic and the workload of the email server.

Users with the customer can access their archive via MailStore Client, an integrated IMAP server, Web Access, or an add-in for Outlook. The HTML preview of emails is also now supported in the latest version by Web Access and the Outlook add-in. A whitelist-based HTML sanitizer, specifically developed for MailStore, provides the necessary security. Moreover, the display of recipients and file attachments has been significantly improved; this includes MailStore Client, too.

The new version of the MailStore Service Provider Edition is now available to all registered service providers and can be downloaded at the MailStore partner portal.
